What is an Internship?

An internship is an opportunity offered by an employer to potential individuals, called as interns, to work at a firm for a fixed period of time. Interns are usually students or adults, and most of the internships last between few weeks to few months as per mutual convenience. It is normally part time if offered during university semester or during vacation periods. An internship can be either paid or voluntary.
